Victoria started the match with the first set heavy double break points. The first set completed in just 23 minutes while the second set rallied for a long of 50 minutes. Safina was very tough to beat and she become ard as cement in the second set. She won by breaking 3 of the 4 break points while Azarenka break only 2 of her 2 break points. In the third set safina took two break points and easily opted her third set to qualify for her semifinals. Safina will play Slovakia's Dominika Cibulkova in the last four after the 20th seed ended Maria Sharapova's revival in style, crushing her 6-0 6-2. Safina is very hard defeat at this level as she hasn't took any grand slam so far. So she will be very much hungry to pick the title.
